Customer App

The CS-Cart Customer App is Ecarter’s in-house mobile shopping app for CS-Cart online stores. It gives any CS-Cart merchant a user-friendly, app-native storefront — the same product that powers several of the client apps in our case studies.

The challenge

CS-Cart gives merchants a strong web store, but customers increasingly live in apps — and building a custom app from scratch is out of reach for most store owners. We set out to build a productised customer app that any CS-Cart store can adopt: connected to the live store, consistent with its catalog and payments, and easy to brand.

What we built

• Full catalog browsing with categories, search and filters
• Product pages with images, options and variations
• Cart and checkout wired to the store’s existing payment and shipping methods
• Customer accounts, order history and order tracking
• Promotions and featured-product placements merchants can drive from the admin

Technology

The app is built by Ecarter Technologies, a CS-Cart authorized partner, and integrates directly with the store’s CS-Cart backend over its REST API — so the catalog, prices, stock, customers and orders in the app always mirror the live store, with no separate data entry or synchronisation step for the store team.

The outcome

The Customer App has become a repeatable product: store owners get a branded shopping app connected to their live CS-Cart store, without a ground-up development project. Several marketplace apps featured in these case studies are built on this foundation.
